Road to Penland

Road trip!

Linda's seashell beads

I am off to celebrate my birthday at Penland school of crafts. My friend Linda Sacra is teaching a two week lampwork class. Our friend Marsha will set forth a girlfriend meet up feast! Shrimp from the coast of South Carolina. I can't decide to take projects or to just catch up on reading??? I will take my time driving up and stop for antiques along the way. I really need this trip. Many pictures when I return!

These are the first of the garden roses. I had to remove the picture of the bee and butterfly on the butterfly bush because in the short time that I have been blogging I already received a comment requesting donations to a orphanage which was most likely a scam. The picture will be reposted and I have limited postings. Live and learn! So to bring back the harmony to my blog I share with you these lovely roses. I wish that I could send along the scent as well.....Live your Joy!

We have a very rainy start to the summer. I like it this way and so does the garden!

So, I feel like I have a malady of the worst kind.... I can't stop checking to see if I have a follower. I am sure that my fellow bloggers were as anxious for their first follower. The mother in me is coming out and I am all for the bribe! The first 10 followers will get some of my one of a kind beads for their very own. So if you have found me out in this oh so big cyber space invite your blogger buddies! Well I better get busy on the torch... hope you are one of the lucky ones!

So I did not have the house to myself. The necklace sits unfinished. I did play at the tourch a little. This is what came out of the fire. A fun group to play with. They will go to my first follower!
As you can see I am playing with the look of my blog right now not so good... I will keep playing!

Look what I am working on

I am hoping to have the house to myself this weekend.
If so I hope to finish this piece. The egg is a bead that I
created. The bottom piece is one of my
first leaded projects
that I created when I was up at the river with my girlfriend.
So lets hope there will be a new picture for you next time.

find your joy!
