you are never to old too....play with brushes! brushezy
Marcela over at esty cottage style is hosting a blog party...and I needed a break! I am teaching myself adobe CS3 . Her answer to never to old too....was... play with your computer. Ahhh a person who knows my pain! Marcela I hope that you come read this post and offer to pay it forward to a friend in the making! I have also been posting on Mixed media art ning. I read this post from Tina and heard myself laugh out loud! She was not speaking a language that I could translate in my mind. However as my first post states I am going slow and easy on this blogging journey!

Wants of never ending desire!

Could you live here? I could! My kids would truly think I lost my mind, and so who cares! Yurt*topia found here Rainier Yurts

Waiting By Stephanie K. Johnson

Here is the completion of my junk project from the Junk party I attended a few post down. I took the wire that I had wrapped with glass and used it in a coffee filter rose. It is a little rough, but if I take off my glasses, wow! I want a dozen more! So a little more design work is needed. After taking photos for the blog I played a little in photo shop. If you know of any Blogs that help with image altering please lead me their way!
I have also posted a painting by a young artist Stephanie K Johnson check out her work, she is amazing at 18!

So I am hoping to be back in working order this afternoon. Maybe that leaves be time to do some soldering. I want to make some copper chain.

Junkin it!

Glass wrapped on rusted wire...are you with me?
Maybe stamens for a felt flower, or maybe a coffee filter flower?

That snake skin made me pay a little more attention during this junkin shopping trip!

All these goodies are from a structure tear down near my home. Lots of out buildings. There was great old wallpaper in one building but it was just not safe to go into. Darn what great backgroung it would of made. I will just use that 1940's newpaper instead.

Junk, Junk, and more Junk.....I am hoping create some great found object jewelry along with my beads and some felt flowers. Talk about uncanny festoon, rusted matal, glass beads and felt, some time this head of mine just needs to stop!! come back for treasure that will come out of this junk!

Three beads to go to new homes

Here is the book and swage block that I traded beads for when I was at Penland School of Crafts. The book was made by Joy Raynor, she is a potter and photograper. The cover is her clay work and the book is filled with her photos taken in the Penland area. The swage block was made my a lovely girl named Teresa Joy, I did not learn her last name. She overheard Joy and I talking about having the same name and shared that her middle name is Joy. She was excited to join the exchange of beads. I just happened to have a photo in my phone of a swage block I was going to talk my dear hubby into making. She made this one of cherry, I will give it a try this weekend! Which one do you want? become a follower and I will email you for details to send you a free bead! 9 still to go.

I will be making more free beads this weekend, Six more to complete my bribe! Don't miss your chance to get a free bead! I will post more choices tomorrow.
