Sunday in the studio

I finished this doodle in a meeting...and I must say I am glad I brought my sketch pad because it was one of the worst presentations I have ever been to. If I was not drawing I would have been counting the um's. So enjoy! I also used this image for a challenge over at Mixed Media Art Ning called Wanna piece of me!

Shutter colors

I have to choose a shutter color! My house is brick the trim is pure white, the front door is robins egg blue. The littlie bit of siding is mocha and I want pumpkin color shutters or do I??? I am so visual and need a bit of time with the color but the painters want to know now!

What took me so long???

Life is so much easier when you have 72 drawers to hide things.....oh I mean organize things! Sure I has to open 7 drawers to find something, but I'll fix that when I find the perfect vintage wall paper to tag all those drawers. I found this chest of drawers on a recent trip to Virgina. From what we know it was used by a shoe maker.

PS sorry the photos are a bit blurry. I forgot that I had been using manual. Not to worry, it will show up in photos again later.

Tag sale surprise AKA Festooning machine!!!

Tag sale goodness! I was at the tag sale for a good long time. I found a few goodies, but nothing to sing about. I then went over by the dvd players and such. At first I thought this was an old projector. I did not see the name on the handle, my mind had already determined it an old projector. As I lifted the lid you can imagine my excitement. And the price!! $10.00. Catch my breath, please! This lovely from what I have found was made in the year of my birth, making it that much more treasured. I am happy to share that she is in perfect working order!
