Where bloggers create....The festooning nest!
Karen over at My Desert Cottage is hosting a Where bloggers create party! So welcome to the festooning nest! This is where you will find me creating festoons to send out into the world! Here pictured is my doodle desk...I am a fan of drawing instruments of all kinds...I am always looking for something old that has penned history of times gone by. I take great pleasure in leaving drawings out in the public to be found by a passerby. It will have a quote to invoke pleasure. The cupboard above my desk was created by a grandfather for his granddaughter to store her treasures...I acquired it though a trade with a friend of mine. It was going to be a focal piece at a show she was doing. I was delivering some pieces that she had ordered for the show. I had to let her use it for her show but you can rest assure that it had a SOLD sign attached!

That is a charming space. Love the cupboard!
ReplyDeleteLove the gift of art...and that you are spreading that gift..it was either you or another artist that does a similar ling of leaving art for others to find. I still think it is a beautiful concept and where you create is adorable. And how special to have something your grandfather has made and is now being used in your creative space.
ReplyDeleteThe Cupboard is very sweet! Great ideas. Thanks for Sharing you Creative Space.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with us my friend. I wish I had something handmade by my grandfather. He was the REAL artist in our family...and he left this world leaving on a tattered few works of art.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT ALL...LOVE IT!

I am a little late to the party, but better late than never. My daughter, the fashionista, will soon be leaving the nest for her new apartment. I will have the luxury of decorating her old room (specifically the closet) as my creative space. I cannot wait and will incorporate many of the wonderful ideas you have shared here. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYour cupboard is fantastic, and your artwork is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing your space!
